Steve Crawford is a lifelong learner, leader, and storyteller with over 50 years of experience in business, trucking, and leadership development. From an early age, Steve learned the value of hard work, responsibility, and service—principles that continue to shape how he leads today.

Steve began working full-time in the trucking industry while still in high school, helping support his family’s business. That early exposure laid the foundation for a career rooted in consistency, discipline, and people-first leadership. Over the years, Steve developed a deep understanding of what it takes to build and sustain successful teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

At his core, Steve is a guide. He doesn’t believe in telling people what to do—he believes in helping them discover clarity for themselves. Through storytelling, real-world examples, and honest conversation, Steve helps individuals and leaders see challenges differently, uncover blind spots, and move forward with confidence.

What has Steve done?

Steve founded Steve Crawford Trucking, Inc. in 1991 with just three trucks and a vision to build something meaningful and sustainable. Over the next three decades, he grew the company to a fleet of 51 trucks—leading all aspects of operations including logistics planning, fleet management, client relationships, and people leadership.

Throughout his career, Steve navigated industry shifts, economic changes, and operational challenges while maintaining consistency and service excellence. He built a leadership culture focused on responsibility, accountability, and personal development—earning a reputation for integrity and long-term thinking.

In 2010, Steve was recognized as FedEx Ground Entrepreneur of the Year, honoring his leadership, business growth, and operational excellence within the transportation industry.

Beyond trucking, Steve expanded his influence through coaching and thought leadership. He has served as a strategic advisor to small transportation and supply chain businesses, helping owners gain clarity, identify blind spots, and define actionable paths forward. His approach is practical, grounded, and rooted in lived experience.
