Always is the Right Time to say Something Positive
Steve shares a story from his time working with Dale Carnegie courses in South Dakota and his instructor, Gary Lehman, who had an incredible ability to offer thoughtful, personal encouragement to every student. His secret was simple: he practiced.
During his weekly highway commute, Gary would spend one minute for every mile intentionally thinking about what positive things he could say about each student.
Inspired by that example, Steve challenges us to do the same. Take one minute and practice speaking life into someone—a spouse, child, friend, coworker, or even someone who may be difficult to appreciate.
Because encouragement doesn't always happen by accident. Sometimes, we have to be intentional about looking for the good in others.
Who could use an encouraging word from you today?
