Casting Aside Our Cloaks

In this episode, we look at the story of Blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10. When Jesus called him, Bartimaeus did something powerful—he threw aside his cloak and went to Him. In that moment, he let go of something that represented identity, security, and status.

It wasn’t just a physical act—it was an act of faith.

We all have “cloaks” in our lives—things we rely on for identity or comfort. They aren’t always bad, but when they take priority over our faith, they can keep us from fully stepping into what God has for us.

Bartimaeus didn’t let the crowd silence him. He cried out even louder, asking for mercy—and his faith changed everything.
